Honey Bun Cake

CAKE
1 package of your favorite yellow cake mix
4 large eggs
8 oz. container of sour cream
¾ cup vegetable oil
½ cup water
1 cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

ICING
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract(or almond extract for that wedding cake flavor)

Grease a 9×13-inch pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Whisk together cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and water in a large bowl until smooth. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Pour 1/2 of the cake batter into the prepared 9×13 pan. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over batter. Pour remaining batter on top and gently swirl batter a few times with a knife.

Bake for 40 minutes until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

For the icing, stir together confectioners’ sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth and runny. Pour over hot cake; allow to cool before serving.
