Cases of COVID-19 continue to be reported in the state. On Sunday, the Hawai’i Department of Health reported 248 new active cases of the disease. There were five active cases still on Kaua’i which has had a total of 56 cases since the pandemic began. None of the recent cases on the island have required hospitalization. The number of cases in the state are considered to be much higher since many people haven’t been tested and often can be infected while not having any symptoms.
